Definición:

Un cabestrillo es un dispositivo utilizado para apoyar y mantener quieta (inmovilizar) una parte del cuerpo lesionada.

Los cabestrillos se pueden utilizar para muchas lesiones diferentes, pero se emplean con mayor frecuencia cuando se presenta una fractura o dislocación de un brazo o un hombro.
