Toxicidad por vitamina D

Definición:

Es una afección que se presenta después de tomar dosis excesivas de vitamina D.

Causas:

Un exceso de vitamina D causa niveles de calcio en la sangre anormalmente altos que pueden a la larga ocasionar daño severo en los huesos, los tejidos blandos y los riñones. Esta afección casi siempre es causada por formas de la vitamina D que requieren prescripción médica.
